THROUGH THE HEART
The Kraichgauschule is being expanded with a new primary school building and a central connecting structure, while the former primary school will accommodate the all-day program.
The extension integrates the heterogeneous campus into a coherent whole, reorganizing and expanding it in a logical way. Its timber construction is resource-efficient, efficient, and sustainable.
At its heart, the connecting building creates a shared main entrance and links all levels of the campus. It forms a vibrant central hub with strong visual and spatial connections, while giving the primary school, secondary school, and all-day program distinct identities around a common center.
